I'm back!

It has been way to long since I have posted and not to much has changed. My oldest daughter Shaylee just turned 13 and she is officially a teen....eeeek! I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I have a daughter that old! It seems I went right from diapers to shopping, clothes and the dreaded MAKE-UP. Shaylee, is actually a real good girl! She has made all honors classes and she is getting straight A's in every class. She excels in violin and she will one day make a real good mommy. Shaylee is also the Beehives president in Young Womens. I am very grateful Heavenly Father blessed me with her as well as all my beautiful children. My son Dylan just turned the wonderful age of 2 and yes I am running more it seems and I am getting a little older. I just love him way to much. Dylan is such a cheese ball he is always laughing and YES.....he LOVES to tease and torment his sisters already. I was walking through Desert Book the other day, and as plain as day he goes " Mommy!.....President Monson!" You can imagine my suprise and it truely was a proud moment:) I had to go and buy him a little post card with President Monson on it cause he did not want to leave the store without his book. Mikayla, just turned 11 today. October is a very busy month. Mikayla is excelling at Chello and she has an amazing singing voice. Mikayla is also getting straight A's in school. Kiera and Aspynn are busy bodies with dance and practicing for the upcoming Nut Cracker. Wayland, he is just an incredible Husband! I really lucked out with him and I am forever grateful he found me. Wayland serves as 2nd counseler in the Elders Quorum Presidency and he loves it and he just started a job at Wheeler Machinery. I feel like this has become a brag fest but, I dont post on here as often as I should and so I have to update. Also, I am happy to announce that we are hoping to add a new addition to our near future so please stay tuned.

Family

Wow! I can't believe it has taken me 4 months to update my blog. Life is definitley busy! I am finally able to sit for a moment and write a little about the family. Shaylee is now 12 years old and loving young womens. She has had the opportunity to perform baptisms for the dead at the Temple every month now for the last 3 months. I am having a hard time adjusting to the idea that I will have a child entering JR High in the fall. Where in the world does time go? My husband and I were talking last week about future plans and he informed me that Shaylee would be 18 in 6 years. I found myself crying, I knew it was coming I just didn't want to accept it. Mikayla-is now 10 years old and she is just such a sweetheart always offering to help around the house and she is always kissing me. Mikayla is getting straight A's in all subjects still and so is Shaylee. So proud. Kiera and Aspynn- just so fun loving and spirited. Kiera has an incredible sense of humor-she has that belly laugh that is so contagious. Aspynn, lives a princess filled fantasy land. We had the opportunity to attend a cousins wedding and they had dancing well, there was this cute 21 year old or so guy dancing with her for about an hour. When we go to leave she tells me she is going to marry him when she gets big. Kiera went to say something about him and Aspynn, with fiest says " Kiera! You cant have my guy get your own guy"! Seriously so funny. The other day Kiera asked me "mom, what is a singles ward" and before I could respond, Aspynn replied very matter of factly " Kiera, a singles ward is where you go when you are a single and it is a ward. We are not singles, we are americas"! I have no clue where she gets it.
Dylan is now 15 months old and he is into EVERYTHING! He is such a lover. He loves to give hugs and kisses and he knows he has his mom completely wrapped around his finger. He talks alot-he now has about 12 words he says often. Dylan loves Mickey Mouse and always wants to do what his daddy is doing. He is definitely a source of joy to the family. Everything is great. I love my husband very much and could not ask for a better friend and supporter.

Temple

On the beautiful afternoon of September 17th, 2010 my family became a forever family. The power of Temples and the work which is done within them is profound. My family was blessed on Friday and I will be forever grateful. I love my Savior and my Heavenly Father and I love the Holy Ghost. I am so grateful to have the gift of the Holy Ghost to guide me in my day to day decisions with my children and my husband as well as the rest of the day. I LOVE the gospel and I am so grateful to be a part of something so great. I love my children and my husband as well as all the many, many wonderful people (some dont even know who they are) who have touched our lives with there beautiful examples. I have a testimony of this church I know it is true and I do know with all my heart that President Monson is our Prophet and he does recieve inspiration and revelation on how to guide the Lords people back to our Heavenly Father. I know my Savior, Jesus Christ lives and he loves us. My heart is so full I just had to write it down. So thankful for the plan of salvation.

one....two....three and BREATH!!!

Well, I know that I have been on the temple kick for a while and nothing has really taken place. Well I suppose all those tiny baby steps have finally paid off. Wayland will be ordained with the Melchizedek Priesthood on sunday and then we are off to the temple! We have a date in mind given the temple has this date available but, the date is September 18th. Words simply cannot express how grateful I am and I am so excited. This is such a huge and wonderful step. I get to have my family forever as long as we keep our covenants and their is no greater blessing then that. I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life and I am SO grateful for our savior and redeemer Jesus Christ and the infinite atonement. I am grateful for a very loving and patient Father in Heaven. I feel like my life is taking a turn for the better and we can only go up from here.

Shaylee

My 11 year daughter has such a special testimony of our lord and the church and she has such great talent for writing poems. I would like to share her poem that she revised from a year or two ago and it truly is beautiful.

He once stood beside us and held our hand and it will happen again,
he will walk with us, he will talk with us and strongly we will stand.
He will help us live by the Lords command,
we will all live in Gods beautiful land.

He will tell us stories of which he loves,
he will tell us about the beautiful heavens above.
He will show us his hands and the scars which he holds,
he will tell us what happened with a voice very bold.

We will look at our brother and the smile he flashes,
we will see him very clear as if we were looking through glasses.
Our brother will share the love which he holds,
once, someday we will walk with the Savior of the world.

I am very happy to call her my beautiful daughter.

Giving......

I would like to know where time goes? My baby boy is now crawling all over the place. I almost forgot for a moment what it was like to baby proof EVERYTHING!!!! I sit back and and I have to observe all I have been given in my life. My little brother wrote an essay for school on " how hymns are like prayers" (he does not attend public school he goes to an LDS private school) for those wondering why he was given this topic. I have to say that I believe that hymns are like prayers. Today as I am cleaning and taking care of the everyday things- the following lyrics come to mind..."Because I have been given much, I too must give; Because of thy great bounty, Lord, each day I live. I shall divide my gifts from thee, with every brother that I see who has the need of help from me. Because I have been blessed by thy great love, dear Lord. I'll share thy love again, according to Thy word. I shall give love to those in need; I'll show that love by word and deed: Thus shall my thanks be thanks in deed."
I feel blessed and wonder to myself how I need to be more proactive and be aware of those around me. I need to take more time to sit with the ones who need to talk or even a simple smile. Giving, is what creates happiness. I have to take a moment and brag (hopefully as humbly as I can)
I have such an incredible husband and he would do anything for his family. I love him so much and it's weird cause you would think that you loved someone more when you were first married, with the whole " I am in love", butterflies, bliss, ect. However, for myself I would have to say that love grows deeper as you together hand in hand walk through the obstacles of life and together experience the bitter sweet moments that everyday life brings. I love my wonderful children and there have been numerous people who have touched my life in profound ways. I know that there is scary things going on in the world but, I also know that we live in a wonderful world at a wonderful time! As said by Thomas S. Monson  " The future is as bright as your faith"

Mom's

As we are getting closer to that special time of year "Mothers Day" I look to my very own Mother, the one that Heavenly Father gave to me as a gift and I love her so much! I could never ask for a more wonderful Mother in the world! I have had the oppurtunity in the past eleven almost twelve years to truly appreciate the special sacrifices a Mother makes for her children. I say eleven to twelve years because that is how long I have been a Mother myself. I never understood how my Mom had this ability to track where I was at and she would always worry about me. Her life revolved around making her children happy. My Mother is a strong woman possibly the strongest I know. She has endured so much and still has such a beautiful out look on life. She gives with all her heart and loves with all her soul. My Mom loves Jesus and our Father in Heaven and she proves this everyday with her service and her example. I have had the oppurtunity to spend the day with my BEAUTIFUL MOM today and I cherish every moment. My children just love everything about her and they always want to be around her every waking moment. I love you Mom and I hope with time I can only become half the Mother you are.
